DCA Accredited Colocation and hosting Essentials” introductory course - goes ahead!

Posted By Simon Campbell-Whyte, 19 July 2013

I'm pleased to announce that we we'll be holding the first 2 week Data Centre FoundationTraining Course aimed at those seeking work this summer at the University of East London.

The Course is funded by a collaborative effort between DCA Members Telecity, Telehouse and training company CNet, co-ordinated by the DCA and the University of East London. The pilot, is specifically tailored as a graduate "conversion" course for the colocation and hosting sector.

The course will equip the candidates with the basic training needed to enter the sector and will be relevant for all the wide spectrum of roles within a typical commercial data centre operation - eg technical, marketing, pre-sales, support, customer service etc.

The DCA and University of London have been working on a stringent screening process based on graduates' past academic record and a series of panel interviews, the first was held yesterday, with a further intensive day scheduled for next week.

The course will begin on 12th August at the University of East London.
