Datacentre Transformation Conference – 8 July 2014|Manchester

The PEDCA Project consortium will feature at the event and on the DCA stand with participants from the project able to discuss progress and future activities.

The modern datacentre is transforming, impacted by efficiency demands, new design concepts, legislation and IT innovation, solutions that worked yesterday can soon be rendered uncompetitive or even obsolete. 

The Data Centre Transformation Conference takes place on the 8th July 2014 in Manchester. The conference is held in conjunction with the Data Centre Alliance together with the University of Leeds and Datacentre Solutions Magazine. This event is intended to attract an international audience and participants with contributions from both academia and a large cross section of the data centre industry.

The focus of the event is on developing and maintaining a sustainable data centres industry. The agenda will focus on technical content and major energy efficient infrastructures:

  • Energy efficient components and systems (hardware and software
  • Minimisation of greenhouse gas emissions (including heat reuse and smart grids
  • Integrated Data Centre systems (making better use of IPMI
  • Metrics and standards
  • Data Centre components and systems lifecycles
  • Engaging with and educating policymakers and the public
  • Novel developments in the Information Technology stack
  • Energy efficient and sustainable data centre design
  • Data Centre Operational Management, Security and Control towards Exascale High Performance Computing (10 to the 18 by 2018)

Speakers will be drawn from a wide cross section of IT professional bodies, associations and the academic community and themed sessions will include a mix of thought-provoking keynote presentations, educational master classes and sponsoring vendor updates.

There will be plenty of time for delegate networking and face time with sponsors, and you can also attend the gala dinner in the evening.
